Major Joseph F. O'Donnell

Maj. Joseph F. O'Donnell serves as the Seattle District Deputy Commander and helps manage a team of about 900 employees who undertake military construction in Washington, Idaho, Montana and Oregon; and are responsible for an extensive civil works Engineering and construction mission in Washington, Idaho and Montana. The district’s programs also include preservation of historic structures, and hazardous, toxic and radioactive waste cleanup. Seattle District manages nearly $1 billion worth of work annually. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Missouri, and a licensed Project Management Professional.

Maj. Joseph O'Donnell is from Eatontown, New Jersey. He received his commission from the University of Pittsburgh ROTC Program in 2010. His previous assignments include: Operations Officer, 46th Engineer Battalion, Fort Johnson, Louisiana; Small Group Leader, Engineer Captain's Career Course, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri; Alpha Company Commander and Battalion Sustainment Officer, 14th Engineer Battalion, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington; Operations Officer, Pittsburgh District, US Army Corps of Engineers; and Company Executive Officer, 687th Horizontal Construction Company, 46th Engineer Battalion, Fort Polk.

Maj. O'Donnell earned a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, a Masters of Engineering Management from the University of Missouri Science and Technology, and a Masters of Operational Science from the Command and General Staff College. His military education includes the Engineer Basic Officer Leader's Course and Captain's Career Course, and the US Army Command and General Staff College. MAJ O'Donnell's awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (1 OLC) the Army Commendation Medal (4 OLC) the Army Achievement Medal (3 OLC) National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the Army Service Ribbon.
