Free daily tours are offered at 2:00 p.m. each Wednesday, Thursday and Friday between May 1 and Sept.  30.  Tours last approximately one hour, are open to all and begin from the Visitor Center.

Due to reduced natural resource management staffing, Saturday and Sunday tours are cancelled, effective June 27 through September 30, 2026. This will allow park rangers to remain available on the grounds to connect with visitors, partners and volunteers. We appreciate your understanding.

Daily tours at 2:00 p.m. do not require a reservation.

Organized tours of the Chittenden locks, fish ladder and Carl S. English Jr. Botanical Garden are available for groups of eight or more individuals Jan. 1 through Dec. 31.

Organized tours require a reservation.

To request an organized tour, please submit a request by filling out the form below and submit. Once you have submitted a tour request, you will be contacted within 72 business hours by Park Ranger staff who will assist you in scheduling your organized tour.
