Mud Mountain Dam protects lower White, Puyallup River valleys
Mud Mountain Dam is a flood control dam and protects White and Puyallup River valleys by holding back water from heavy rains and melting snow in its reservoir. Water managers from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Seattle District, slowly release flood water back into the river. This is a photo of what it looks like when it isn't being used for flood control.
