Point Chehalis revetment repairs completed at Westport, Wash.
The Seattle District has completed work to repair and restore a 350-foot reach of the Point Chehalis revetment, including a 60-foot reach that could have failed during a severe storm event. The newly repaired section will provide solid protection of the shore line from strong dynamic coastal wave action. About 5,700 tons of large armor stone, 7 to 15 tons each, were carefully keyed into the revetment as part of the $525,000 contract to complete the work by mid December.
