Fin clips are collected and used for DNA analysis during the Muckleshoot and Puyallup Tribes’ monitoring of fish returns and hatchery stock collection at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers trap and haul facility in Buckley, Washington. Salmon are also checked for marks and Coded Wire Tags establish if they’re hatchery or wild fish. (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers photo by Bill Dowell)
