  • Army Corps of Engineers To Repair Rock Creek Levee

    Permanent repairs to the Rock Creek Levee on the Naches River will begin on approximately July 30, 2018. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ officials will restore flood protection to the community. The levee protects public infrastructure as well as homes and businesses.
  • Chittenden Locks large chamber to close for maintenance

    SEATTLE – The Hiram M. Chittenden Locks large chamber will close to vessel traffic from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 17, 18 and 19, for work on the emergency closure system, or ECS. The large chamber will also close the same times August 6-8 as part of the work. The small lock will continue operations during both closures.
  • Army Corps begin repair to the Shoalwater Bay Barrier Dune near Tokeland, WA

    To restore flood protection for the Shoalwater Bay Tribal community and cultural lands, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Seattle District, is reconstructing a sand dune in Willapa Bay near the Shoalwater Bay Indian Reservation.
