Hiram M. Chittenden Locks large chamber to close January 17 from 8 a.m. to noon

The large lock will close to all marine traffic for pump plant-related work from 8 a.m. to noon January 17. The small lock will still be available for vessels less than 120 feet in length and 26 feet in width during this period.

SEATTLE -- U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officials will close the Hiram M. Chittenden Locks park grounds in Ballard at 4 p.m. today and reopen at 7 a.m., the normal operating time, November 16.

Army Corps of Engineers repairing Chehalis-Centralia Airport Levee

The Chehalis-Centralia Airport Levee in Lewis County, Washington, will be repaired beginning October 10, 2016. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officials will restore a section of the levee, which includes a damaged 36-inch-diameter reinforced concrete pipe located on the north side of the airport.
