Chittenden Locks to close 4 hours August 14

Published Aug. 10, 2015

SEATTLE – The Hiram M. Chittenden Locks in Ballard will close to all marine traffic 12:30 to 4:30 a.m., August 14 for electrical upgrades.

Corps officials selected the early-morning, low-usage time to complete the upgrades that will, when complete, improve reliability for the nearly 100-year-old facility.
