Chittenden Locks large chamber closure for dive work rescheduled

The Hiram M. Chittenden Locks large chamber will close to marine traffic from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15, for dive work related to pump plant construction.  Work is rescheduled from the original time and date of 8:00 to 11:00 Wednesday, Dec. 9.

The small chamber lock is not affected and will be operating normally.  Pedestrian traffic is not affected.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers owns and operates the Chittenden Locks. The busiest in the nation, nearly 50,000 vessels lock through each year.
