President's Fiscal 2019 Budget for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Civil Works Program includes Seattle District projects

The President’s Budget for Fiscal Year 2019 (FY 2019) includes $4.785 billion in gross discretionary funding for the Civil Works program of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, including more than $76 million for Seattle District programs and projects.

Corps of Engineers lowering White River flows for barrier dam repairs

SEATTLE – U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officials will lower White River flows from Mud Mountain Dam beginning February 11, 2018, to make repairs on the White River Diversion Dam near Buckley, Washington. Flows about 2,000 cubic feet per second (cfs) are expected February 11 and will reduce to 350 cfs by February 14 and remain there through February 16. Flows are reduced for worker safety while making the repairs.

Corps water managers take flood control management of three dams

SEATTLE – U.S. Army Corps of Engineers water managers from the Seattle District’s Reservoir Control Center are regulating flows for Wynoochee, Ross and Upper Baker Dams. The engineers began regulating the flows for the Western Washington dams November 21 at Wynoochee and November 22 at Upper Baker and Ross. Corps operation of these utility-owned projects occurs during flood events per established protocols.
